Welcome to our website.
Weldon C.E. Primary School is a village school that values standards and achievement.
We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. We are a 1 form entry school, and we currently have 191 pupils in seven classes, from Reception through to Year 6.
As our website demonstrates, the children at Weldon C.E. Primary School are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.
Our Governing body has four seperate committees; finance, curriculum, premises and health & safety. They meet regularly and offer a valuable overview on the success of the school. Click here to visit our Governor page.
We have a School Council that is represented by each class. We meet regularly and they voice their classes ideas and concerns over playtime games, etc. They play an active role in choosing items for our 'Wish List' and the PFTA have recently fulfilled the school council's wish for air conditioning in our ICT suite and lots of new playtime toys and equipment. Our two Year 6 children also represent the school at the Parish Council meetings. Click here to visit our school council page.
We welcome helpers into school, i.e. parents, grandparents, carers, etc. All are cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau, and our teachers appreciate the time they give to listening to the children read, helping with cookery, escorting on school visits and trips, etc. If you would like to help in school please contact our school office.
Our PFTA (Parents, Friends & Teachers Association) is another way you may be involved in the school. Please click here to visit the PFTA page for more details.
We had a good Ofsted visit in March 2009, and the full report may be accessed on the Ofsted website or via the link on our home page.
